Since 2015, I have collaborated with Dr. Hyeouk Hahm (BU School of Social Work) on the Asian Women’s Action for Resilience and Empowerment (AWARE) project, a gender- and culture-specific and trauma-informed group psychotherapy intervention designed for young Asian-American women with histories of interpersonal violence and trauma and/or Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) diagnosis. A major focus of this work is sexual health, including matters disproportionately affecting LGBTQA+ people.

I am a Christian. Currently, I am a member of Reservoir Church in Cambridge. I firmly promote welcoming and inclusion of LGBTQA+ in the church. Throughout my life, I've had close friends who identified as LGBTQA+.
